The Marine Corps is dedicated to providing support to all Marines and families throughout the entire deployment cycle with programs and activities designed to address specific pre, during and post deployment issues and challenges.
The key to a successful deployment is preparation. Our deployment programs are designed to highlight those key areas of personal and family preparation needed for single Marines, married Marines and their respective families; either active-duty or Reservists.
Suggestions for personal and family preparation including important documents, emergency communication, money management, operational security, sources of assistance, information and referral resources are provided.
Our goal is to help Marines and their families understand what to expect from a deployment, build the skills necessary to thrive during a deployment, and gain the tools necessary to keep our Marine Corps families strong, and engaged in their community throughout the duration of the deployment.
This emphasis has resulted in the reinforcement of the roles and responsibilities of unit commanders and the importance of educating Marines and their families about the realities of deployments and the programs available to mitigate negative behaviors.
