New MCFTB AIRS Inspection Checklist

The Functional Area is 966 (MCFTB). Keep in mind that the checklist is divided into two sections: 966 01 for installation-level use, and 966 02 for unit-level use. Please ensure widest dissemination as this will be the checklist used for future inspections, effective immediately.
FRO Online Course now available at MarineNet!
The FRO Online Training course has finally been posted to MarineNet. Although FROs are required to attend in-class training, the online class was developed to meet the needs of FROs who might not have in-class training immediately available.
Another benefit, and perhaps more important, is that this is new, thorough, and completely up-to-date information, and is equally beneficial to the new FRO and the experienced FRO. It is a wonderful reference tool.
To view the course:
- Sign in to MarineNet
- Click on the course catalog
- Click on Family and Personal Readiness courses
- Select Family Readiness Officer (FRO)
- Under the Actions column (on the right), select enroll in course
- Click on Enrollments (on the left)
- Click again on the course title
- Under the Actions column, select launch course
Newsletter Transition
As you know, the FRO Newsletter expanded its focus and has been transitioned into the HQMC Family Readiness Branch Newsletter. The new newsletter is an information sharing tool for FROs, Marine Corps Family Team Building, Children, Youth and Teen Programs, and the Exceptional Family Member Program. The new MCFTB MCO (MCO 1754.6A) and NAVMC (NAVMC 1754.6A) have been signed! Due to the requirements of the new MCO 5215.1J, the MCFTB Order consists of both a MCO containing policy guidelines and a NAVMC (changed to NAVMC 1754.6A vice NAVMC 1754.6) containing the procedural information of most importance to you. It took a little time to correct some errors made by the folks who run the electronic library, but they are now available at:
(http://www.usmc.mil/directiv.nsf/web+orders).
Look under "NAVMC Directives", rather than "NAVMCs." If you downloaded NAVMC 1754.6, rather than 1754.6A, delete it and download the new one! (No content was changed, only the "A".)
Also, reference (f) of the MCO should read NAVMC 1754.6
