Key Volunteer Training

Whether you have already volunteered to serve as a Key Volunteer for your Marine spouse's unit, or simply want to learn more about the Key Volunteer Network, you've come to the right place. Key Volunteer On-line training will review with you what a Key Volunteer is, their roles and responsibilities, some history and background on the program, and how you can become an involved part of your spouse's unit.

The interactive training is available when you are anytime and anyplace you can connect to the Internet. Fun exercises ensure you understand the information and handouts can be printed for later reference. A Certificate of Completion is available when you have finished the course. The estimated time to complete this training is 6 hours. But, if you are unable to complete all five modules in one sitting, you may exit at any time and return later to your exact stopping point. Ready again, anytime you are!

 

Accessing KV Training On-line at https://www.marinenet.usmc.mil/

  1. Click on the 'Marine Net Logon' icon then follow the instructions to enroll as a New User . You will be asked to provide your Social Security Number (SSN)*, date of birth (DOB) and last name.

    *You must be enrolled in DEERS to access the online course. If you are not in DEERS, contact your local MCFTB Office for assistance.

  2. Once signed on as a new user, you will be asked to log on again using your SSN and password (DOB) to access the course listings. (At this point, you will need to designate a new password for future use and access on MarineNet.)
  3. Click on course catalog then click on Marine Corps Training Courses and select either Key Volunteer Network (or L.I.N.K.S.) training.
  4. Click again on KVN (or L.I.N.K.S.) and under the 'actions ' column, select enroll in course. Confirm enrollment. (You are now officially enrolled.)
  5. Click on 'Enrollments' icon - to the left.
  6. Click again on the course title and then under the 'actions ' column, select launch course. Start the course.
  7. Check to see that your information is personalized to you - not your sponsor by clicking on "Account Information" on the left-hand side of the web page.
