Other Attractions: Joshua Tree National Park and the surreal geological
terrain of the Mohave Desert are just outside the gate of 29 Palms. Palm
Springs is one hour and Los Angeles is two hours driving distance from
the base.
Location: After entering the main gate, proceed 1.2 miles and turn right
at traffic signal. Continue one mile thru traffic signal; Carl’s Jr will be on
right. Turn left immediately after Carl’s Jr and enter the Sleepy Tortoise
Lodge parking lot.
Reservation Policy: Reservations accepted from all authorized patrons
up to six months in advance.
