MCFTB provides educational resources and services to foster personal growth and enhance the readiness of Marine Corps families. MCFTB is comprised of the following:
These programs are supported at all major installations by Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) through a MCFTB office staffed with a MCFTB Director and MCFTB Coordinator or Key Volunteer Trainer. The L.I.N.K.S. and KVN programs are supported almost entirely by Marine Corps spouse volunteer effort.

The mission of the Family Readiness Committee is to serve in an advisory capacity, to the MCCS BOD, on matters having a major impact on family readiness, Marine Corps-wide. Family readiness directly affects the fundamental purpose of the Marine Corps to make Marines and win battles by building commitment, raising morale, and increasing Corps readiness.

Key Volunteer Network (KVN) is a commander's program within a Marine Corps unit. The KVN provides the spouses of the unit official communication, information and referral and also works to create a sense of community within the unit.

Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge and Skills (L.I.N.K.S.) is a spouse to spouse orientation for spouses new to the Marine Corps. Experienced spouses address all aspects of the military lifestyle. Learn about Marine Corps tradition, how to survive deployment and frequent moves, understand the military pay system and a variety of other topics that will make your journey through Marine Corps living much smoother.

The Spouses' Learning Series (SLS) is a MCFTB program providing Marine Corps spouses free opportunities to further their personal and professional growth through a series of interactive, developmental workshops and online courseware. The Spouses' Learning Series is comprised of the following:
Though targeting spouses who volunteer in their local community, the SLS is available to all Marine Corps spouses. The combination of workshops and online educational courseware provides leadership and personal development in the following areas: Communication and Team Development, Relationship Building, Personal and Professional Empowerment, Goal Setting, Self-care, Stress Reduction and Life/Work Balance.

Chaplain's Religious Enrichment Development Operations (CREDO)
The Director of Religious Ministries for the Department of the Navy has sponsored CREDO since its inception in 1972. Navy Chaplains are Directors of the Navy and Marine Corps CREDOs worldwide. Two of these CREDOs, Pendleton (Twenty-nine Palms) and Camp Lejeune are funded by the Marine Corps, through Manpower and Reserve Affairs. There are nine Navy and Marine Corps retreat program located worldwide.
