All-Marine Men's Basketball takes Silver in Armed Forces Championship

 The Marines, although the smallest team in the tournament, finished in second place (3-3) behind Air Force.  On the last day of the round robin games, Army topped the Marine Corps 84-78.  The Championship game had an uunbelievable first half with Air Force and Marines tied at 31 points.  The finish came down to the final second in a close game with Air Force winning the game and gold medal over Marines 78-76 .  Sgt Brandon Mitchell (8th & I) and Cpl Richard Pollack (Okinawa) were selected to participatewith the Armed Forces Basketball Team. They will travel to the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) Basketball Tournament at Chievres, Belgium, 28 November through 2 December.  Final Standings: Air Force 5-1; USMC 3-3; Army 2-4; Navy 2-4.
