Bridge enjoying life at Division III Stevens

There are many different ways that schools choose to honor its wrestling All-Americans. Some use plaques, some utilize trophy cases, still others display retired singlets.

Stevens Institute of Technology has its "Fatheads." Yes, those life-sized wall stickers first made popular by National Football League stars.

At the moment, the walls that comprise the Ducks' Wrestling Complex are very white and almost completely barren. It's only Coach Mike Clayton's third year at the helm, so former Duck Brandon MacWhinnie is the only image currently showing. But Clayton has a talented newcomer this season, a crazy-strong, battle-tested veteran who plans on doing some redecorating before he's done.

Marine Wrestlers have great weekend

It was a great day for the U.S. Marines Corps team, which captured four individual titles. Winning gold medals for the Marines were Jonathan Pattison at 55 kg/121 lbs., Ryan Bridge at 60 kg/132 lbs., Steve Forrest at 74 kg/163 lbs. and Charles Fish at 120 kg/264.5 lbs.

The All-Marine Wrestling Team competed in the 2009 Cristo-Lutte International Wrestling Open in Paris, France on 31 Jan -1 Feb. Sergeant David Arendt, Jr won four straight matches in the 120 kg division on his way to the gold medal.

Army grips 2009 Armed Forces Wrestling Championships
