Financial Compensation for Abused Family Members
- Program provides monthly payments (from 12 to 36 months) to qualified family members.
- Family members of service members who have been separated or discharged or receive forfeiture of all pay and allowances because of domestic violence may qualify.
- Payments are intended to help recipients meet living expenses.
- Commissary, Exchange, and MCCS privileges continue with support.
- Some programs can be forfeited or lost; learn beforehand what can cause you to lose your benefits.
- Medical benefits are provided for the length of the entitlement period.
- Commanding Officers or Legal Officers must complete the application (DD Form 2698). You may complete the Direct Deposit Form.
- Compensation begins after the application has been approved by Headquarters Marine Corps. Payments are retroactive.
