Marine Corps Officers' & SNCO Club Members can win prizes during membership drive

Release Date: 3/16/2005

MCB QUANTICO - From 15 April - 24 June, Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Clubs will be holding a membership drive with the goal of increasing club membership by 15 percent. Proving that membership pays, Marine Corps club members will have a chance to win a $500 credit on their membership account during the membership drive. All club members are automatically entered and four winners will be randomly drawn per installation.

The honor and privilege of earning the title of Marine will endure for life. Throughout Marine Corps history, clubs have been there to support the proud traditions and heritage of the Marine way of life. Becoming a member of a Marine Corps Club can foster the lifetime relationships established during a career and invest in the continuation of the brotherhood of Marines.

For low monthly dues, club members enjoy exclusive member benefits, entry to members' only functions, and great locations to enjoy camaraderie and to socialize with fellow Marines. Other benefits of the Marine Corps Club Membership Platinum MasterCard include no annual fees, the "Blue Star Benefits" Program which provides rebates on all interest on purchases and fees during a deployment in a military campaign, emergency cash and card replacement, purchase assurance, and 24/7 customer service support. The Military Free Cash Rewards program, which was launched last year, rewards Club Members with cash or gift cards for using the card for making purchases with their club card. Two points are earned for every dollar of card purchases made at qualified Club and Military Exchange merchant locations on Marine Corps and Air Force installations. Gas and concessionaire purchases, as well as off base card purchases, earn one point for every dollar of card purchases

"This is just one more way for us to say thank you to our members," said Carol Garland, Head, Food and Hospitality Branch, Headquarters Marine Corps. "If you are not already a club member join now so that you can take advantage of the many benefits of club membership as well as the chance to win $500. Go ahead, don't put it off another day."
