Western Union Wire Service Available in Iraq

Western Union Customer sending a wireMCB QUANTICO, VA - Marines and Sailors deployed to Iraq can now send and receive funds using Western Union wire services. Marine Corps operated exchanges at Al Taqaddam, Al Asad, Ar Ramadi, and Camp Fallujah can send and receive money for authorized patrons, although there is a limit of $4000 per transaction per day.

To send money to a Marine you can go to any Western Union site or online at www.westernunion.com and use one of the below addresses for the receiver:

  1. Receivers name, and "Iraq, U.S. Military" for location
  2. Receivers name and APO address
  3. Receivers name, base, and APO address
    (example:  John Doe, Taqaddam, Iraq APO AE 09509
