HQMC (MR), QUANTICO, VA – The 2008 Marine Corps Combat Operational Stress Control (COSC) Conference will be held on August 12-14 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, One Market Place, San Diego, CA. This years conference will introduce the new Marine Corps COSC Continuum Model and associated programs, which emphasize the importance of leadership roles in promoting wellness, prevention and early identification of combat stress. The conference will bring together military and civilian leaders, subject matter experts, and stakeholders in the COSC process to discuss current and future COSC training, research, policies and programs. The conference is open to Marines, leaders, chaplains, medical and mental health personnel, Marine and Family Service Center counselors, family members and others with interest in COSC. Continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for medical and counseling personnel who attend.
