MCCS Offers a Chance to Attend The Nicholas Sparks Celebrity Family Weekend

HQMC (MR) QUANTICO, VA – Fans of best-selling author Nicholas Sparks can win a trip to attend his upcoming Celebrity Family Weekend by going to the Sponsor the MNicholas Sparks Celebrity Family Weekend Logoarines Facebook page at
     The prize package includes CONUS airfare, hotel accommodations, and two “All Access” passes for the winner and one guest to attend the Nicholas Sparks Celebrity Family Weekend in New Bern, NC April 20-22, 2012.  Weekend festivities may include Celebrity Golf Tournament, Family Fun Night, Film Festival, brunch at Nicholas Sparks’ home, and more. The contest will close on April 4 and the winner will be drawn on April 6.   
     The contest is being run in conjunction with the opening of the latest Nicholas Sparks novel to be made into a movie, “The Lucky One,” starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling on April 20. Sneak peeks of the movie are being hosted at MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, MCAS Cherry Point, MCAS Miramar, MCAS New River, MCAS Yuma, MCB Camp Lejeune, MCB Camp Pendleton, MCB Hawaii, and MCB Quantico the weekend of April 14 - 15. Book clubs are also being organized at the following MCCS libraries: MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, MCAS Beaufort, MCAS Cherry Point, MCAS Iwkauni, MCAS Miramar, MCAS New River, MCAS Yuma, MCB Camp Butler, MCB Camp Lejeune, MCB Camp Pendleton, MCB Quantico, MCLB Albany, and MCLB Barstow. If you have questions about the screenings or book clubs contact your local MCCS library or movie theater program manager.
