Career Exploration Resources for Military-Connected Youth
Military-connected youth often move six to nine times before graduating high school, which builds adaptability—but can complicate career planning. Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) offers targeted programs to help.
The School Liaison Program connects families with local schools and career resources, offering access to counseling, scholarships, internships, and job shadowing opportunities through community partnerships. It also offers workshops on resume writing, interviews, and job search strategies, in collaboration with Child and Youth Programs and other MCCS programs.
MCCS Education Centers support college and career readiness through admissions guidance, vocational training, and certification programs. They also help students access military education benefits like Tuition Assistance, the GI Bill, and Yellow Ribbon, and host college and career fairs.
MCCS programs empower military-connected youth to turn their unique experiences into strong futures—transforming resilience into readiness for college, careers, and beyond.
